A new association has surfaced in the Chieti province in the region of Abruzzo, linking a handful of restaurants that specialize in dishes made with black and white truffles, known locally as the Tartufo!Vie del Tartufo (Tartufo paths) aims to promote truffles in the area and also collaborate with companies interested in the collection of truffles, the preparation and cooking of truffles, and the sales of truffles and truffle products throughout Italy and Europe.
All of the participating restaurants offer a "truffle menu" at a fixed price, beverages excluded. AbruzzoToday editors have tried the truffle menu at Palazzo Tour D'Eau and it was fantastic -- a filling home-cooked meal with a touch of elegance, at an excellent price.
