agnone.jpgLocated in a panoramic position, on a hill overlooking the Verrino valley, Agnone was once linked to the ancient Aquilonia. It conserves a beautiful old town, characterised by elegant palazzos and churches, dating from the 14th century onwards and indicating a past of some importance. The town is primarily known for its production of bells, in the ancient Marinelli foundry dating back to the Middle Ages. It also produced watches in the 18th century. In this town though, there are many archeologocal findings. Agnone, is in the province if Isernia, region of Molise.
