POPULATION 590 ELEVATION 1180 mt This mountain town that dominates the Liri valley on the lower slopes of the massif of the Simbruini mountains. Cappadocia is noted in particular for the nearby grottoes of Beatrice Cenci. Cappadocia extends itself from the medieval age on a plateau on the lower slopes of the Colle Secco, in a position dominating the valley of Liri. HISTORICAL FACTS The town has always been under the dominion of numerous noble families of the Fucino area. WHAT TO SEE In the area, near rocky walls that delimit the valley of the Imele river, we have the grotto called “Beatrice Cenci”, a charming natural cavity rich in stalactites that has restored numerous artifacts dating back from the stone age.
