Casoli is located on a hill in the Aventino valley, near the Verde river, close to the Sant'Angelo lake. In the vicinities you can also find the parco della Maiella , a very turistic spot but it still holds its natural beaty.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Casoli was built aroun the castle, like the majority of the towns built during that era.(The tenth century). Casoli had many fuedal family ruling the town, such as the Orsini family and the Colonna family from Rome. The very rich soil favored agricultural activities and that is what the economy was based for a long time.

WHAT TO SEE
Church of Santa Reparata, witha romanesque facade and a rennaissance portals on the right side. Inside the church, you can find the high altar with Rennaissance arches houses the 18th century polychrome "statuette of Santa Reparata. 
Of course the castle is a dominating figure and it is positioned on the highest point of the town.
