HISTORICAL FACTS
The town has Longobard origins, going back all the way to the Bronze age. Some archeological findings show that the town had life from the VI century before Christ. In the 10th century the village was colonized by Benedectine’s monks that have founded the Monastery of Sant’Angelo Cornacchiano. Once a year, there is pilgrimage from the monastery to the neighbour town of Furci. The town still preserves the San Salvatore church and the Palazzo De Lellis.
