There was a huge plaster mine in town, not in use anymore. HISTORICAL FACTSThere are some pre roman findings that certify that this town was in existence and that there was an active social life. The hamlet had a strong feudal influence, especially with the castle strategically position on the Aventino valley, blocking the rich pastures of the Majella mountain. In the 19th century it was ruled for a short period of time by the Caracciolo family of San Buono. During the second world war, the Germans levelled the town with their strategy of leaving nothing behind them.
